Friends of The Pug Dog Welfare & Rescue Association

Friends of The PDWRA exists solely for the purpose of enabling the Association to carry out its duties.

One of the alarming aspects of the work that the association has carried out over the past year, is the increasing frequency in which the Association has to respond to calls to welfare and rescue for pugs in distress or unwanted (re-homing). This has meant that the resources available to the Association in the way of assistance, are stretched to the limits. Friends of the Pug Dog Welfare and Rescue Association will to a large extent, help to diffuse some of the pressures that the Association is facing at present.

The PDWRA welcomes all assistance in the way of help with re-homing and rescuing pugs in distress. How can you help? You can help the Association in a number of ways:

  • Within your ‘locality’ be prepared to collect a rescue/welfare pug
  • Within a reasonable distance be prepared to deliver a rescue/welfare pug to a new home
  • Within your ‘locality’ be prepared to ‘vet’ a prospective welfare pug’s new owner/home
  • Be prepared to answer an emergency call from the Association
  • Be prepared to see a sick pug through veterinary treatment
  • Be prepared to help with The PDWRA’s Garden Parties
  • Organise/support fund raising activities of the PDWRA

In all the above, you will be supported by the officers of the Association; detailed information as documentation will be made available to all enquiries for becoming a member (Friend) of the Association.
